Il Punto sui soci e sul club (aggiornato al 1/7/2010)

Al 1 luglio 2010, a quindici anni dalla fondazione, Il RC Milano Fiera conta 50 soci.
All’atto della costituzione - 19 maggio 1995 (la Charta è stata consegnata il 30 giugno 95) - i soci fondatori erano 31; a questi, nel corso del periodo, se ne sono aggiunti 53; nello stesso periodo il club ne ha persi però 34 di cui:
(a) -   2 purtroppo deceduti
(b) -   9 cortesemente allontanati per vari motivi
(c) - 19 dimissionari
(d) -   3 trasferiti
(e) -   1 nominato socio onorario

I soci fondatori sono rimasti in 14.

 

Oggi il club annovera : 50 soci attivi (45 uomini e 5 donne) - 1 socio onorario (ex socio fondatore)    

L’ anzianità di affiliazione risulta essere:
- 1-3 anni   è 14%       3-5 anni   è   4 %         > 5 anni   è 82%  

I soci che hanno proposto nuovi soci negli ultimi tre anni sono stati 5
I soci sono nati tra il 1936 e il 1978 e la distribuzione per fasce è la seguente:

dal 1951 al 1960  17 soci
dal 1961 al 1967 12 soci
dal 1968   al 1978 5 soci

con una età media (ad oggi) di 54,4 anni.

Le presenze dei soci alle riunioni si sono sempre mantenute su livelli medio alti, subendo solo negli ultimi anni una flessione che ha preoccupato la dirigenza (si registra una leggera ripresa nell’anno in corso):

Hanno servito il Club, ricoprendone a turno varie cariche direttive, 56 soci; inoltre 12 soci (e 5 ex soci) hanno servito anche per più anni nell'ambito distrettuale; i soci impegnati nel Distretto per l'a.r. 2009/10 sono stati 4.

24 soci (di cui 8 ora ex-soci) hanno ricevuto il riconoscimento PHF: 19 dall'interno del club, 3 dal Distretto e/o altri Distretti, 1 dal club di provenienza; 2 soci hanno ricevuto l'attestato del Presidente Internazionale "4 vie d'azione".

Grazie alla disponibilità ( tempo, professionalità e contributi ) dei soci, il Club nel corso degli anni , ha ricevuto i seguenti attestati:
- 15 Lodi Presidenziali annuali ( ogni anno, dal 95/96 al 2009/10)
- 13 Riconoscimenti dalla Rotary Foundation
-   1 Riconoscimento distrettuale di "club superstar" 97/98 (Governatore Cerini)
-   2 Riconoscimenti distrettuali in occasione del congresso 1-2 giugno 2002

Commissione Effettivo 
Obiettivo: conservazione, incremento e formazione dei soci.

Conservazione: coinvolgimento soci all’attività del club; informazione continua sui programmi in corso; relatori interessanti per migliorare l’assiduità; gite culturali ed enogastronomiche rivolte ai soci, alle loro famiglie ed amici.
Incremento: consigli ed informazioni sulla strategia da adottare tra i propri amici, familiari, colleghi di lavoro, personalità della comunità, professionisti ed imprenditori adeguatamente qualificati; revisione classifiche;
Formazione : tutoraggio neo soci; continua informazione rotariana sul club, RI e TRF; partecipazione agli eventi distrettuali
Commissione Relazioni Pubbliche
Obiettivo: mantenere i contatti con l’esterno e    promuovere i progetti e le attività del club.
Curata l’immagine del Club all’esterno anche con l’intento di suscitare l’interesse di potenziali nuovi soci.
 
Commissione Amministrazione 
Obiettivo: gestire la normale attività amministrativa del club
Revisione del regolamento del club; organizzazione degli incontri settimanali;promozione degli eventi distrettuali; espletamento degli obblighi amministrativi; pubblicazione del bollettino del club;aggiornamento del sito del club e promozione del suo utilizzo; revisione del “vademecum per i soci”
 
Commissione Progetti 
Obiettivo: messa in opera di progetti educativi, umanitari a livello locale e internazionale

In ambito locale:

borse lavoro in favore del CAM; associazione “Cecità Evitabile”onlus; stage orientamento presso la scuola tecnica Cattaneo; progetto “orti nelle scuole”

In ambito internazionale: 
assistenza informatica allo scolasticato di Kinshasa (triennale, con richiesta di DSG); alfabetizzazione in India con fornitura di banchi scolastici al Dewas College; adozioni in Uganda; gemellaggio con RC Besançon

 

Commissione Nuove Generazioni
Obiettivo: indirizzare i giovani verso un futuro migliore aiutandoli a svilupparle loro capacità individuali

Costituzione del “Rotaract Club Milano Sforza” con il contributo di 8 figli di nostri soci e del Rotary Club Milano Villoresi quale co-padrino; contributo operativo ed economico al “premio maturità Rotaract”; organizzazione dell’ XI Camp estivo a Milano; partecipazione con un candidato al RYLA; ospitalità e sostegno economico ad uno scambio annuale

 

Commissione Rotary Foundation
Obiettivo: sostenere la Fondazione Rotary sia attraverso contributi finanziari, sia partecipando ai suoi programmi

Maggiore sensibilizzazione all’interno del club, sulle attività svolte da TRF; partecipazione ad un DSG; contributi al fondo programmi e alla campagna PolioPlus/EndPolioNow

 

Un’apposita “sottocommissione gemellaggio” ha curato i rapporti con i dirigenti/membri del RC Besançon, esaminando futuri progetti da svolgere in sinergia e programmando la cerimonia del gemellaggio avvenuto l’8 maggio 2010

A club member has provided to renew the equipment of the delivery room of the Sonkatch hospital, after the local visit made in December 2008 by a delegation of 20 rotarians of our district.

Programs for the New Generations
1995/2005




Youth exchange: (a) divulgation of the program at district level in the Rotarian sphere and outside (schools); (b) 5 summer camps organized in Milan inviting 51 boys of whom 21 lodged with club members; (c) 60 boys sponsored and sent to attend foreign camps and 42 at summer home exchanges; (d) Offered hospitality to 2 boys on annual exchanges and other 2 boys sent abroad.

GSE: Support in organizing 5 annual groups ; proposed candidates; offered hospitality to members of foreign groups in Milan.

Hausmusik: organized 6 annual club evenings; on several occasions some members offered their residences to host musical events; sponsored the production of a compact disk to launch young musicians
1998/2009 RYLA: During these 8 years sponsored 17 participants

Christmas Painting competition " La Ruota del Rotary" at the secondary school specializing in art subjects Hajech in Milano to increase (a) the Rotary visibility in the community, (b) the scholars artistic attitude and (c) to raise funds for Rumanian association "Bambini in emergenza"

The Club participates in various programs of TRF from the beginning, living hospitality to GSE members, taking part in Matching Grants and lately in DSG, offering contributions to the Annual Fund, Permanent Fund and PolioPlus (EndPolioNow).

Public Relation


objectives: to provide the public community with information about the Rotary and to promote the club’s activity
Reported the Rotary’s principles and the club’s activities outside the club with the intent to create interest of new potential members
Administration





objectives: to manage the best administration of the club
Updating of the bylaws of the club; organization of the weekly meeting; promotion of the district events; performing the administrative duties vis-a-vis the district/RI/TRF; preparation of the club’s bulletin; updating of the club’s website and instruction on its use; updating of the “vademecun dei soci”; preparation of the budget, monitoring the accounts and final balance sheet  
 Service Projects
objectives: to develop and to implement educational, humanitarian and vocational projects that address the needs of the communities, at local and international level
  (a) at local level: issued work’s grants in favour of “Gli amici del CAM”; participation to the activities of the association “Cecità evitabile onlus”; stages on work orientation at the technical school “Cattaneo”; participation to the project “orti nelle scuole”; voluntary service performed by some members in favour of “AEVAL onlus” (for elder people);
  (b) at international level: computing assistance to the Kinshasa computer school (second year of a 3 years project) using a DSG; literacy in India with the supply of school benches at Dewas college; long distance adoption of 10 children in Uganda; twinning with RC Besançon.

objectives: to support the Rotary Foundation through both financial contributions and program participation.
More information to the members about the TRF activities and how to use its programs and finance; participation to a DSG; contribution to the Annual (program) Fund and PolipPlus/EndPolioNow campaign.
The total club’s contributions to TRF (from the beginning up to 30/6/10) amount to $ 165,571,05
New Generation objectives: to help young people toward a better future, assisting them to develop their individual capacities
Set up the Rotaract Club Milano Sforza with the contribution of 8 boys/ girls, children of some our members, and the co-sponsoring of RC Milano Villoresi; operative activity and economic contribution to the “premio maturità” of Rotaract; organization of the XI summer camp in Milano; sponsored a candidate to RYLA; hospitality and economic contribution to a young foreign student during his long term exchange in Milano.

A specific “Twinning subcommittee” took care of the relationship with the member/leaders of the RC Besançon, examining future project to be done in synergy and planned the twinning ceremony which took place on 8 May 2010.
